Thunderstruck Promotions was started in 1992 to help
generate sponsorship for our race team. The exposure that can be
generated through motorsports marketing can be tremendous. The
promotions that can be run using motorsports are nearly limitless.
Since beginning my racing career fifteen years ago , I have
raced throughout New York State and Pennsylvania. The number
of people that have seen my cars just traveling to these races is
unimaginable, not to mention the number of people at the tracks
that have seen me race.

I have also had the car on display at carshows, in local parades, and a
number of other public events. These are just other examples of how
motorsports marketing can expose your business to everyone, not just to race
fans.

I started racing in 1985 in the Street Stock class at the Fonda Speedway. After my rookie
season we put together consecutive top five point standings finishes for my second and third
seasons. We then moved up to the sportsman class where we were a consistent runner for two
seasons until we had the misfortune of destroying the car. We returned for the 1990 season
with a new car of our own design and moved up to the modified class. We ran consistently
that year and came away with both the Fonda Speedway and New York State Stock Car
Association's modified rookie of the year awards. We ran a couple of more years before a lack
of sponsorship forced us to take a year off. We came back once again in the Sportsman class at
the Afton Raceway for a year, and the next year moved to Five Mile Point Speedway, where
we finished eighteenth in points before selling the car near the end of the season. After another
year off this brings us to now, where we will be returning to Five Mile Point with a new car
and a refreshed attitude.
